I love it that we first got a tiny glimpse of Celestials all those years ago in Guardians of the Galaxy, and here they are, center stage. It really felt like technology had finally caught up to the scale of Jack Kirby's cosmic imagination, and those shots of Arishem contrasted with our main characters were simply gorgeous, but the real showstopper was the end scene where he looms through the clouds, impossibly, brain-breakingly immense. I did love the grand scale of the Celestials. The Deviant monster designs reminded me of Sammael from the first Hellboy movie, and they suffered slightly from that over-CGIed monster problem of fast-paced scenes becoming too visually indistinct what with all the flailing tentacles and body parts. I was a bit iffy when the movie started with a text crawl, that seemed kind of old-fashioned, and that first action scene felt a bit perfunctory, though it did introduce everyone's powers in a concise way.
